Who am I?
My name is Yermys Peña, an architect, builder, and entrepreneur. My passion for architecture began at a young age, when I discovered the power of spaces to transform people's lives. I clearly remember how, at 10 years old, I confidently declared, "I want to be an architect who builds." With no family background in the construction world, that dream seemed distant, but I was determined to make it a reality.
Since I was a little girl, I've been a dreamer with my feet firmly on the ground, aware that great achievements require effort and vision. I love fashion and travel, two passions that fuel my creativity and are reflected in my work. For me, design is more than drawing lines; it's expressing a vision, a purpose.
My beginnings weren't easy. Entering a traditional and competitive sector meant breaking down barriers and literally creating my own opportunities. But those challenges shaped my character and taught me that the key to success lies in preparation, perseverance, and focus. Today, looking back, I know it was all worth it.
Today I lead two companies that fill me with pride: Construger , a construction company with more than 60 years of history that I have had the privilege of leading toward more sustainable practices, and Studio YP , an architecture studio where I design unique and environmentally responsible spaces. I am convinced that architecture should not only be functional but also sustainable, because I believe we can create more humane and livable cities, with happier citizens.

In addition to my passion for architecture, I've found a platform on the stage to share my vision. As a speaker, I've had the opportunity to connect with audiences in the United States, Latin America, and Europe, delivering messages about sustainability, leadership, construction, and real estate investment strategies. Each of these experiences has confirmed to me that leadership isn't about being the best, but rather inspiring others to achieve greatness.
